Innovation Labs is a creation of the US-based Ad Astra Academy and the Nigerian-based EarthSpace/Young EarthSpace Scientists (YESS!) Academy. It is a unique program providing students with the skills and motivation to use science and technology to improve their communities.
The program blends the contextual knowledge and inspirational power of international scientists with the perspective of local scientists. Specifically, we develop, educate and train future scientists, innovators and explorers using the Earth and Space exploration paradigm.
To foster and deepen the culture of science, technology, innovation and exploration in Africa, towards building the technical workforce needed for sustainable development on the continent. Specifically, we develop, educate, and train future scientists, technologists, innovators and explorers using the scientific but people-oriented education.
To inspire students to pursue scientific careers (science, technology, engineering & mathematics, as well as environmental conservation), and to help them recognize the interrelationships of scientific and non-scientific fields using an earth & space exploration paradigm.
